Eduard Ritscher – Founder and Managing Partner
Eduard brings over 25 years of experience in Market Making, Service Delivery, and General Management of large-scale Technology Business Transformation programs in global financial and non-financial markets, focusing on Infrastructure and Business Process Outsourcing, Enterprise Computing and Infrastructure Services, and Management Consulting.
His professional experience includes three decades of Client-facing, Revenues-producing, and Game Changing responsibilities as President, SVP, Group VP, and Managing Director for major technology vendors (HP, ACS/Xerox, CSC, Unisys, Cap Gemini, SITA), and as Corporate Technology executive in major global bank (Chase). Eduard led NA and EMEA Financial Services consulting and outsourcing practices of 4 major vendors (HP, Unisys, CSC, Capgemini) and, until recently, was Group President and SVP EMEA Executive for ITO Europe in ACS/Xerox combined organization.
His areas of specialization include: Transformational Outsourcing (ITO, Vertical Financial and Horizontal BPO, Contact Center, Shared Services), Sourcing Advisory, Cloud Computing and Enterprise Infrastructure Services, Financial Technologies and Financial Transactions Processing, Business Restructuring and Turnarounds. Eduard brings comprehensive Financial Services Industry experience in banking, capital markets, and transactions processing, combination of Outsourcing, Consulting, and Operations Management domain expertise, and international experience across NA, EMEA, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and South East Asia markets, serving more than 90 major global financial institutions, including 12 of the top 20 global banks.
Owen-Christopher Kemp – Principal
A highly motivational international executive with vision and leadership in the strategy and execution of Change and Strategic Growth. Held senior management positions with direct responsibility for several multi-billion dollar businesses in the Financial Services Hi-Tech, and Government sectors. Most recently, managed a $2 billion Russia subsidiary of a global high-tech corporation, established a start-up management consulting with presence in Austria and Russia serving pre-IPO international Clients, and serves as Chairman of Advisory Board for a $300 million start-up co-location Data Centers in Moscow, in advisory board positions in start-up companies in Russia, US. and Europe, and as Visiting Professor at Skolkovo Business School and MGIMO academic institution in Russia.
During a 30 years career with HP, Owen held broad range of senior management positions at Country, Region, and Global level, managing sales and delivery organizations, and contributing direct Client engagements From 2004 to 2010, served as Managing Director, Russia, leading HP first manufacturing and software development offshore facilities in Russia. From 2001 to 2004, served as Vice President and General Manager of HP Worldwide Finance Industry Vertical focusing on Austria, Germany, Russia, Ans Eastern Europe markets. From 1990 and 2004, had general management and direct operational responsibilities in HP Worldwide organization, including Europe Sales Management, Russia Country Manager, and EMEA Regional Marketing Manager. Owen brings extensive international experience, has dual UK and Austrian citizenship, and currently resides in Vienna and Moscow
Robert Carter – Principal
Bob is a senior financial management executive with over 20 years experience in accounting operations, business planning, internal controls, and finance transformations (operations, technology, business process) in a major global bank (Deutsche Bank) where he was a Finance Director, and CFO for Global Transaction Banking, Americas, Global Business Controller for Global Securities Services and Global Business Controller for Global Portfolio Management. In his 15 years career at Deutsche Bank, Bob re-engineered and managed finance operations (treasury services, cash management, securities lending, trading book, reporting and compliance, led onshore and offshore operations (including one of the industry’s largest offshore captives). Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers and held management positions with Smith Barney and Chase Manhattan Bank. He recently was involved at Deutsche Bank in managing the transformation of a controlling function by off-shoring end to end processes and restructuring the remaining team into a finance model
Michael Hartig – Principal
Michael Hartig brings over 30 years of Capital Markets experience for a wide range of financial services institutions, including investment banks, private banks, mortgage companies, broker-dealers, asset managers, family offices, hedge funds, industry utilities and related service vendors. His applications experience has covered a broad spectrum of disciplines, including global securities trading, front and back office processing for buy and sell side firms, financial & tax reporting, exchange operations and systems and regulations, risk management, portfolio & partnership accounting and performance, investment banking, and database/data communications. Michael has assisted a wide range of independent, full-service and bank-owned broker dealers in the evaluation of custody and clearing alternatives as well as the implementation of a variety of service bureau and software package options for custody and clearing across a diverse mix of securities products. Michael has worked with major institutions to transform their custody and clearing capabilities through a variety of methods, including corporate acquisition, software development, service bureau implementation and a combination of integration strategies. Prior to his Big 4, IBM and Capco consulting experience for some of the leading global banks and broker/dealers over the last 15 years, Michael ran Capital Markets Technology for Paine Webber and was responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s trading, research, analytics and middle office processing systems, including all trading floor/exchange and related lending systems. He was also responsible for building their correspondent clearing and prime brokerage systems including securities lending. Michael has been an active participant on a number of industry committees for SIFMA, OCC and FIF.
Jean-Louis Bravard – Principal
Jean-Louis Bravard currently is a director of Burnt Oak Partners Ltd, an outsourcing consultancy he co-founded in 2009, which is headquartered in the City of London with offices in Sweden and Benelux.
Earlier in his career, Jean-Louis Bravard held several senior executive positions as a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Co. (Brazil Country Manager, Head of Global Fixed Income Research, Acting Group CIO and Corporate Finance in Paris, New York and Brazil). More recently Jean-Louis worked for over ten years at EDS Corp (now HP Enterprise Services) in New York (later London) as Managing Director, Global Financial Services responsible for relationships with global banks, brokerage houses and exchanges.
Other experience include CEO of Arbinet Corporation (a telecommunications company), President and COO of IFusion.Com (a leading push technology venture) and Managing Director with VICOR a Palo Alto based advanced technology consulting and systems engineering firm focusing primarily on large financial services firms.
Jean-Louis is a Graduate of l’Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (now ESCP Europe) and holds an MBA from the Johnson School of Management, Cornell University. Jean-Louis is very active in the London community, is a member of the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce and a board member of London and Partners limited, the public private entity leading the promotion of London in areas of tourism, direct foreign investment and students from abroad.
Timothy Barney – Principal
Timothy Barney has been for over 25 years a trusted adviser to global financial services organizations, leading best practice implementations and re-engineering, driving process efficiency, and managing operational effectiveness and business transformation programs.
Most recently, Tim was a Managing Director for Deutsche Bank both in New York and London, UK, where he led financial transformation across regions, business lines, and functional units. In his eleven year tenure with Deutsche Bank, he lead the global Sarbanes-Oxley program, outlined and executed on multiple cross-functional IT and process re-engineering initiatives focused on operational efficiency, measurable economic benefits, and straight through processing results.
From 1998 through 2001, Tim was Director and Global Product Controller for the Investment Banking and Private Equity divisions of Credit Suisse First Boston. Previously, he held various positions as Director or Executive Director at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, NationsBank, Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Coopers & Lybrand, executing on global basis.
Tim brings extensive experience in Finance, Operations, Product, and Financial Control, led Target Operating Model development and implementation efforts, project valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation processes.
Tim holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance & Investments from Baruch College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from King’s College.
Ian Campell-Laing – Principal
Ian Campell-Laing brings twenty seven years of experience in the financial industry with Deutsche Bank Morgan Stanley, NatWest Markets, Lehman Brothers, and Spicer & Pegler in US and UK.
Most recently, Ian spent eleven years at Deutsche Bank in Investment Banking and Asset Management divisions as Managing Director, including Global Equities COO, Global Trading COO, Americas Chief Investment Risk Officer, and Global Head of Capital, Balance Sheet and Liquidity Management. As part of Global Equities Alpha Risk Committee, he contributed innovative thought-leadership which identified 2% alpha performance enhancements to the Bank investment platform.
Ian is a senior executive with extensive experience leading all facets of global operations for large multi-billion dollar investment firms, driving revenues generation and cost savings, reducing risk, maintaining relationships with Fund Board Members, Institutional Clients, Rating Agencies and Regulators, formulating and executing strategic initiatives for turnarounds, streamlining, and scalability
Ian studied Finance and Business Administration at the City of London University and is an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Securities Industry and a Member of the Lepus Risk Management Forum.
David Dick – Principal
David Dick is an international senior executive with over 30 years’ experience in helping global organizations in Europe and Middle East and across financial services, telecom, and oil and gas market sectors, align technology and business transformation and achieve operational efficiency.
His professional career includes roles as VP and GM, HP Enterprise Services, VP and Global Account Director Schlumberger/Atos Origin, Manager Logica UK and Middle East, Consultancy Director SAIC and Program Manager BP.
At HP, David managed the largest Europe-based global outsourcing accounts of Alcatel-Lucent and Ericsson, including a $3bn contract, delivering the IT services portfolio in 140 countries, and a successful bid for 5 year contract renewal. At Schlumberger he led services business supporting cards and payments products for clients such as MasterCard & Visa, providing assistance in the implementation of EMV-compliant chip & PIN cards. At Schlumberger he was Global Account Director for Standard Chartered Bank responsible for outsourced data center services & payment systems throughout Asia. Earlier in his career David was advisor to BP Oil International in development of applications systems across Europe and US, including ERP, point-of-sale and merchandising systems.
David’s background in blue-chip international business and leading IT service companies is recognized and endorsed by both the IT suppliers and the businesses they serve. The experience of the most complex IT/business arrangements enables David to help create and manage client/supplier relationships, identify their main challenges & key issues and drive a realistic plan for resolution. The international aspect of David’s career enables him to advise companies on business across multiple geographies. He lived and worked in France, Belgium, Sweden, Hong-Kong, Singapore and the Middle-East and currently resides in London.
Tracy DuPeza – Principal
Tracy DuPeza is an international leader with twenty-eight years of Hi-Tech industry experience; the last eighteen focused on product planning, business operations, and sales management. While leading HP’s Sales Strategy and Business Operations for Central and Eastern Europe, he has overseen the transformation of technology, processes and infrastructure to accelerate the capture of emerging market growth. Prior to running the emerging market’s business operations organization, he headed HP’s EMEA Server and Storage Demand Fulfillment team. As Enterprise S&OP leader, he defined the global material planning process and tools for merged HP and Compaq Enterprise Product Division.
Before this, Tracy headed Compaq’s EMEA Product Operations, optimizing the regional material forecasting process and had corporate management planning roles, driving improvements in the Desktop Product Division’s predictability of new product introductions. Early on, he supported the North East sales organization and led the creation of the New York regional technology center. He started his carrer in high-tech sector in South Africa, as Senior Economist supporting CSC Computer Sciences Corporation’s technology collaboration with Econometrix (PTY) Limited and delivering modeling tools and consulting services. His specialty includes New Product Planning, Process Management & Optimization, Decision Support, Technology Adoption, Material Forecasting and cross-cultural Team Management.
Jane Lauterback – Principal
Jane is a senior integrated marketer with a proven international track record in building strong brands and relationships.
As a business builder and internationally certified coach, Jane draws on her diverse skills to identify and lead change by uncovering important insights and developing effective strategies that drive engagement and revenue, making enduring differences for all key stakeholders.
She has a unique matrix of global experience (including an ex-pat assignment in Tokyo) in corporations, communications agencies and non-profits crossing a range of complex challenges and industries—particularly in technology, financial services and professional services.
Some of her assignments have included IBM, American Express, AIG, GE, Microsoft, Unisys, Marsh & McLennan, Schwab Institutional Services and JPMorganChase, to name a few.
When not at the office, Jane can be found running, usually very early in the morning and in between she’s also a Director of the Brothers Fund, working with the founder to design this first-time not for profit micro-lender specifically geared to U.S. veterans.
Peter Sealy – Principal
Over twenty years’ experience in leadership and execution of technology and business operations in commercial and investment banks, and trading room operations, including equities, fixed in-come, foreign exchange, commodities, derivatives, energy and real estate. Selective list of clients includes: BlackRock Solutions, Bridgewater Associates, Barclays Capital, Standard & Poors, Lehman Brothers, Prudential Securities, American Express, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and Telerate.
Recent responsibilities include relocation of a major hedge fund’s Trading and Account Management departments (including state-of-the-art trading floor and business continuity); relocation of Standard & Poor’s index calculation systems (including evaluating data center and market data vendors across two continents); and PMO for a major asset management company undergoing a merger that doubled its size. Earlier in his career, he was Technology Leadership Team at Citigroup Asset Management, directing installation of new equity trade order management system, with daily trading volumes up to $4.5 billion, FIX connections to 17 brokers. Prior to that, as president of a technology consulting company, he led the relocation of investment bank’s 1,200-person New York office, deployment of interest rate derivative pricing systems for money market analytics provider, including TIBCO and Bridge BTRS.
